From Eipiros in the north to Peloponese in the south, ELLAS Band goes beyond the boundaries of any one specific style, time period or region. The group’s extensive play list includes selections from the powerful Rembetika, melodic Laïka, enchanting Demotiki and driving Eipirotika traditions.

Versatile sound
Bouzouki, violin and doumbeleki can be used on one song followed by bagalma and mandolin, guitar and bouzouki on the next. Secondly, bouzouki, flute, clarinet, accordion can be added. Of course, vocals are a must in Greek music, as well as two and three part harmonies are a big part of the group’s color. Band size ranges from a duet to 10 piece orchestra.
